ICE-AID SUPERIOR

In the event of an emergency, anyone with a working cellphone and airtime can SMS your unique bracelet number to our SMS short code, 41535.

Immediately upon receiving your SMS, all your medical information you provide to us when you register your band will be sent to the person notifying us of your emergency. At the same time an agent from our 24 hours dedicated call center will phone the originator in order to find out the details of your emergency. The call center agent will then contact your primary contact and provide them with details of your emergency, for example:

  • The type and status of the emergency.
  • Your medical condition.
  • Any assistance you may need.
  • The details of the hospital you will be transferred to.

In addition, on ICE-AID SUPERIOR, the call center will assess the emergency and dispatch a service provider. ICE-AID SUPERIOR WILL cover LIMITED service provider payments and the member WILL be liable to cover the cost of any emergency services dispatched to the service provider directly over and above the benefits listed below.

  • Free emergency USSD and phone application.

Limited Benefits:

1: 24 hour Emergency Roadside Assistance

In the event of a mechanical or electrical breakdown of your pre-registered vehicle that results in you being stranded on the side of the road. Assistance is only a SMS or press of a button on your phone application away. A call centre agent will immediately contact you to obtain details of your emergency. An appropriate pre-approved and accredited service provider will be dispatched who will:

  • Tow your vehicle to the nearest point of safety or service center within a maximum 20km from the location of your breakdown. Limited to 2 incidents per annum, for example
    • Tow the car
    • change a tyre
    • Jump start the car

    The cost of the services supplied over and above the LIMITED incidents will be for the ICE-AID SUPERIOR member’s account

    2: Emergency Home Assistance

    In the event of an emergency at home whereby you require immediate assistance. Our call centre will access the details and nature of your emergency and if deemed to be a true emergency we will dispatch and organize the appropriate assistance, for example plumber, electrician or glazer. The cost of the call out and the first hours labour will be covered under your ICE-AID SUPERIOR membership.

    “Home Emergency” means any sudden, unexpected and/or unforeseen event at your home that requires the immediate and/or urgent services of a domestic tradesman or repairer to ensure the safety of the home and of the occupants at the members home or to limit/minimize or prevent further damage to the home.

    We have a national network of accredited service providers who have agreed to charge our members a pre-negotiated favorable rate. An appropriate pre-approved and accredited service provider will be dispatched the benefit is limited to 2 incidents per annum per member.

    The cost of the services supplied over and above the LIMITED incidents will be for the ICE-AID SUPERIOR member’s account

    3: Emergency Ambulance Assistance

    In a life threatening medical emergency due to an accident or an acute illness, we will provide the caller with support and advice and if required we will dispatch an ambulance to provide emergency transportation to the nearest and most appropriate medical facility. An appropriate pre-approved and accredited service provider will be dispatched the benefit is limited to 2 incidents per annum per member:

    4: Emergency Medical Information & Advice

    Obtain telephonic medical guidance from Medical professionals and assistance on what to do in a crisis situation.

    5: Emergency Legal Assistance

    In the event that you require urgent Legal Advice, you can access unlimited telephonic legal advice and assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

    6: Locksmith

    Should you require a locksmith in an emergency one will be dispatched from our list of accredited suppliers. All cost related to the locksmith will be for the members account


    All the above value add services will be provided via a national network of accredited service providers who have agreed to charge our members a pre-negotiated favorable rate thereby preventing you from being charged unreasonable and exorbitant rates by unscrupulous providers.
